Meet the Coaches

The Touchmasters Soccer Academy

  • In the past five years The Touchmasters, which include over fourteen coaches combining coaches in St. Vincent and The Grenadines and in the USA have been traveling back and forth to their homeland conducting clinics, camps and educating the youths of SVG about the importance of soccer in developing life skills and basically ”touching” the Grassroots movement in that country emphasizing development through Football."
  • The Morris brothers Luxy, Pete and Des have served SVG home and abroad and would like to further contribute by opening a Soccer Academy in their country, as of now SVG does not have a viable youth program. After years of negotiations with the Government of SVG it seems like this dream will be realized, the Morris brothers after initially proposing to the government in 2003, will be able to have a soccer academy in the beautiful valley of Buccament, a few miles away from the birthplace of Desmond Morris who was born in Hope Village.
  • It is the dream of these brothers to have a World class soccer academy with dormitories, cafeteria/ dining hall, entertainment lounge, an Sat/Prep school for all athletes in the country and other amenities. There will be functioning Academy teams from ages 8-22, participating in training , league and Regional play, also there will be a semi/professional team, these teams will be for both boys and girls.
  • This academy has been a lifelong dream of these brothers and we hope that through these prolonged activities that focus, work ethic, mental discipline dedication and striving for excellence will become a major characteristic in Vincentian society and help the nation and its communities to help in the development of the young minds and keeping them occupied with a sport that can influence them in a postive manner.
